Sophia El Kohen

Sophia completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a specialization in Pharmacogenomics, at the Université de Montréal. Her master’s project focuses on predicting vascular complications in individuals with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using clinical, sociodemographic, genomic and multi-omic data. By leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence and advanced statistical modeling, her work aims to support the development of predictive models that can identify individuals with T1D who may require more personalized and targeted therapeutic interventions in a precision medicine context.
